After extensive research and preparation, and in the wake of the worldwide financial and real estate crisis, Wim decided to buy his own property on the Costa del Sol in 2013.
Over the course of 10 years and more than 70 visits, Wim has accumulated a wealth of knowledge of the area and its property market and has built his own large network of property developers, real estate agents, property lawyers and other specialists. He created IRIS COSTA CONSULTING s.l. to ensure his independence as a consultant.

Sandra: During a chat with a supplier for our window decoration business, the subject of Spain came up. I told her about our holidays in Spain and how nice it would be to have our own home there. The lady told me that in 2016 they had bought an apartment in Elviria, near Marbella, and had been guided by Wim Blommaert, and passed me his contact details. We got in touch and Wim came to our home shortly afterwards to present his approach and to listen to our wishes and expectations. With the explanation we received from Wim, we quickly had the feeling that we were in good hands and knew what we were getting into.

Michel: A few weeks later we saw Wim back on the Costa Del Sol, and we first got an exploratory visit to the region we were interested in, in particular the zone between Malaga and Marbella. We really liked it there, so Wim took us to a number of homes that were for sale and met our criteria. We saw a total of ten different homes, all nice, modern apartments, but we lost our heart to a townhouse in a 'community' at the La Cala Golf Resort. The house on 2 levels offers a bit more space than most apartments and because of its location it really has a phenomenal panoramic view.

Sandra: Wim helped us to negotiate a good price and then guided us through the entire process from the purchase to the signing of the deed at the notary. His clear explanation and his very extensive network ensured that this all went very smoothly. Afterwards we could call on his network to arrange a whole lot of practical things, ranging from arranging direct debits for the utilities, the painting in the house, the delivery of furniture, etc. Now that the interior is completely to our liking, we try to go whenever we can to our home in Spain. It's really great and we haven't regretted our decision for a moment!
